BACOLOD City — Four Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts standouts have earned a coveted opportunity to showcase their talent on a larger stage after being selected to compete in the ABP Legacy Youth Invitational Tournament – Beach Volleyball 2026 set on July 4 to 6 in Boracay Island.
The invitation gives the young athletes a chance to test their skills against fellow Filipino volleyball prospects from around the world in a prestigious tournament organized by the Future Elite Volleyball Association Inc. (FEVA) in support of the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF).
Chosen to represent the Thunderbolts beach volleyball program are Ariane Mae Alayon, Jemimah Jaslyn Calvo, Sheree Frederiz Uy, and Mhegan Ordaniel. They will be accompanied by Coach Sheryl Laborte-Tuyo.
According to FEVA, the tournament is designed to gather promising Filipino volleyball players from various countries and provide them with valuable international exposure and high-level competition.
The event also aims to strengthen ties within the global Filipino volleyball community while promoting sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and friendship through the sport.
Tournament organizers expressed confidence that the Tay Tung athletes will proudly represent their school and demonstrate their abilities against a diverse field of competitors.
