ANTIQUE — A teenage girl has accused her uncle of sexually abusing her in a series of social media posts on March 4.
The girl claimed the abuse started last year when her uncle allegedly touched her inappropriately in her room while her parents were away.
On the day of her online revelation, the parents picked her up from school. She alleged that her uncle invited the family to a local restaurant, where he tried to make her drink alcohol.
She refused, she said, citing her upcoming classes.
Later, while her parents were still eating, the girl claimed she went to their car where her uncle followed her, offering her P2,000 and inviting her to the restroom before allegedly touching her inappropriately.
Two bystanders reportedly intervened and escorted the girl to the police station, where she provided a statement about the incident.
The girl’s father reportedly dismissed her claims, accusing her of exaggerating. “Your uncle just invited us to dinner, and now you’re making a scandal?” he allegedly said.
“It would be better if we all just died rather than face the scandal you’re creating. You are such a disgrace,” the father allegedly said./PN
