Terminal Market tops Iloilo City’s P13.1-M income from markets, slaughterhouse in Oct.

ILOILO City – The city’s public markets and slaughterhouse generated a total income of P13,109,197.92 in October 2025, according to the Local Economic Enterprise Office (LEEO).

The Iloilo Terminal Market contributed the largest share with P5.48 million, followed by the Iloilo New Slaughterhouse with P3.28 million, and the Iloilo Central Market with P2.24 million. Together, the three accounted for nearly 85 percent of total collections.

Other markets also reported steady income: La Paz Public Market with P765,604.61, Jaro Big Market with P686,439.78, Arevalo Public Market with P262,996.48, Mandurriao Public Market with P₱254,545.52, and Jaro Small Market with P137,197.64.

LEEO said the strong performance reflects the vitality of the city’s local economy and efficient management of its economic enterprises. The office continues to implement measures to sustain revenue growth and enhance services for vendors and consumers in Iloilo City./PN
