
AKLAN – More than P2.8 million worth of training allowances and starter toolkits was distributed by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-Aklan to scholars and beneficiaries during the nationwide celebration of Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat, Para sa Lahat on September 13 at the Aklan Provincial Capitol Grounds.
Of the total assistance, P1.99 million was allotted for training allowances while P859,000 went to starter toolkits for scholars under the Cookery NC II, Bread and Pastry Production NC II, and Driving NC II programs.
The initiative was part of a nationwide effort led by various government agencies to bring essential programs and services closer to the people, in celebration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s birthday.
TESDA-Aklan said the support not only helps uplift the lives of scholars but also equips them with skills and tools to pursue livelihood opportunities, underscoring its commitment to providing accessible and relevant technical-vocational education and training.
