Through events like Oktoberfest and our community pop-ups, we’ve seen how Ilonggos naturally come together to celebrate local flavors, culture, and creativity in one vibrant space,” she said.
Just recently, the Oktoberfest transformed Mercato Sta. Barbara into a lively crossroads of beer, music, and bar chow. Performances by Emman Abatayo, Eian Bryle, and Kreonz Band filled the open-air venue with energy, keeping the crowd dancing to pop and ’90s hits well into the night.
Local leaders shared the same optimism. Mayor Dennis Superficial and Vice Mayor Ramon Sullano joined the celebration, emphasizing how Mercato Sta. Barbara’s proximity to the Santa Barbara Plaza and the historic Iloilo Golf and Country Club strengthens the town’s tourism potential. “We are proud that Sta. Barbara now has another landmark in Mercato Sta. Barbara. This is your first Oktoberfest here, and I hope it becomes a yearly tradition,” said Mayor Superficial.
