BACOLOD City – Seven persons were caught while playing the cards game tong-its in Barangay Camindangan, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
They were the 41-year-old Josephine Judilla, 43-year-old Tamon Talabon Jr., 64-year-old Eliseo Buenafe, 49-year-old Helna Sorilla, 56-year-old Josephine Tahum, 21-year-old Cloe Pagunsan, and 56-year-old Elma Dela Peña – all residents of Sipalay City.
They were arrested on Thursday, said the police.
Recovered from their possession were P1,341 gambling money, 12 tin bottle caps used as markers and two decks of playing cards.
They were detained at the Sipalay City police station lockup facility./PN
