SCOTTIE Barnes converted a tiebreaking free throw with 0.8 seconds left in overtime to lift the Toronto Raptors to a 116-115 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season on Sunday night (Monday in the Philippines) in Toronto, Canada.
Barnes made the first of two free throws and intentionally missed the second to run out the clock, securing Toronto’s win. He finished 10-of-12 from the free-throw line and led all scorers with 31 points.
Jamal Shead recorded a career-high 22 points, while Immanuel Quickley added 20, while Collin Murray-Boyles contributed 17 points and 15 rebounds, matching his career high on the boards.
Philadelphia, which were without stars Joel Embiid and Paul George, struggled with ball security, committing 22 turnovers, one shy of its season high, and recorded a season-low 11 assists.
Toronto, who missed the services of Brandon Ingram, RJ Barrett, and Jakob Poeltl, also had shooting issues from long range, finishing 5-of-32 from three-point territory, its lowest percentage from beyond the arc this season.
Tyrese Maxey paced the 76ers with 38 points, while VJ Edgecombe finished with 17. Kelly Oubre Jr., Dominick Barlow, and Quentin Grimes scored 13 points apiece, but Philadelphia suffered its second loss in the last seven games.
Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards banked in a go-ahead three-foot runner with 16.8 seconds and the Minnesota Timberwolves overcame a 19-point deficit to beat the San Antonio Spurs, 104-103.
Edwards scored 23 points. Julius Randle had 15 points, eight rebounds and the winning defensive possession against Victor Wembanyama, who had 29 points in 27 minutes in his return to San Antonio’s starting lineup.
Donte DiVincenzo scored 19 points with a major spark for the comeback from the 19-point deficit early in the third quarter for the Timberwolves (26-14), while Naz Reid contributed 17 points and 11 boards.
