ROXAS City – The Acting Municipal Fire Marshal of President Roxas, Capiz died.
He collapsed while leading his fire station’s weekly cleanup drive yesterday morning, Oct. 1.
Senior Fire Officer 3 Marlon Garbo and his personnel were cleaning up Barangay Poblacion when he suddenly lost consciousness.
He was rushed to the Bailan District Hospital.
At around 9:55 a.m. while being treated, he died.
The specific cause of death was yet to be determined as this was being written.
Oct. 1 was supposed to be Garbo’s 24th anniversary in the service.
The weekly cleanup drive was conceptualized under Garbo’s leadership. It was called “Ugsaran Ko, Tinluan Ko, Basura Mo, Himuson Mo.”
