ILOILO City – A 10-wheeler truck rammed five stalls along the coastal road in Barangay Balabago, Jaro district at around 9 a.m. yesterday.
A vendor, 32-year-old Irene Sibanta of the same village, had scratches on the right leg and complained of pain on the left hip.
Iloilo City Emergency Response team personnel brought her to the Iloilo Mission Hospital in Jaro.
The truck was traveling from Barangay Baldoza, La Paz district to Leganes, Iloilo at the time.
Driver Roland Sarte of Zarraga, Iloilo tried to avoid a preceding vehicle and lost control of the truck, police said.
Sarte will meet with the stallholders at the Jaro police station on Sunday to discuss a possible settlement./PN
