ILOILO City – Vehicular traffic was temporarily rerouted on Saturday after an electrical post toppled onto Bonifacio Street.
No one was reported injured in the incident but the road was impassable for about three hours.
An 18-wheeler truck accidentally hooked electrical and telephone wires at around 1:30 p.m., toppling a post of the Panay Electric Company (PECO), a traffic police report stated.
The toppled post and dangling wires obstructed the road, prompting traffic enforcers to reroute both private and public vehicles.
Reynold Maxian of Pototan, Iloilo was driving the truck, stated the traffic police report.
Personnel from PECO and the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company cleared the road of the post and their wires before the vehicle routes returned to normal./PN
