ILOILO City – A security guard died after a 10-wheeler truck ran him over at an intersection in Barangay Buhang, Jaro district.
Armando Flores, 43, of Barangay Capangyan, Lambunao, Iloilo was driving one of the two motorcycles that the truck accidentally hit, a police report stated.
The other motorcycle driver – Richard Loterano of Barangay Badiang, New Lucena, Iloilo – sustained wounds.
Flores was thrown off his motorcycle and run over by the truck, causing him a fatal head injury.
The incident happened at the MacArthur Drive-circumferential road intersection at around 7 a.m. on Aug. 24.
Truck driver Michael Rebojo told the police his brakes malfunctioned.
Rebojo was detained at the Jaro police station. He faces charges for homicide, physical injuries and damage to properties./PN
