Two drug suspects yield over P2.1-M ‘shabu’ in Bacolod

BACOLOD City – The anti-illegal drugs operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized around P2,142,000 worth of suspected shabu from two drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in Purok Langis, Barangay Banago here.

The 23-year-old Rachell Sampayan, a resident of the said place, and Echero Baldelovar, 24, of Purok Tilapya, Barangay 3, were caught around 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, after they handed a plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer.

Officers of the BCPO’s City Drug Enforcement Unit led by Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Benitez Jr. and Police Station 3 (PS3) confiscated illegal drugs weighing around 315 grams, 1,000 in buy-bust money and a black sling bag.

Sampayan and Baldelovar who was tagged as a high-value target were detained at the PS3.

They are facing charges for violation of Sections 5, 11 and 26 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
