ILOILO City – Two persons were killed and four others were injured after an ambulance and a sports utility vehicle (SUV) crashed against each other in Barangay Ondoy, Ivisan, Capiz.
Died were ambulance driver Darius Yap and Ernie Fulgencio.
Those who sustained injuries were identified as John Rey Castillon, 29, of Barangay Poblacion Norte, Sigma, Capiz; Captain Alcer Moncera, police chief of Dumalag, Capiz; Romelyn Gondao Baldado, 19, of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental and Oliver Clarito Aguihap, 21, of Barangay Culajao, Roxas City.
From what the Ivisan police so far fathered, the ambulance was headed towards Roxas City while the SUV was on its way to Sigma town.
The accident happened on Monday night. The SUV allegedly counter flowed on the other lane and hit the approaching ambulance.
Investigation of the incident continues while the injured individuals are being treated at a hospital./PN
