ILOILO – Two men figured in a stabbing incident in Barangay Cagamutan Sur, Leganes town, on Sunday night, Nov. 19.
Jeynos Arguelles, a 27-year-old resident of Barangay Cari Minor, and ArJay Jopli of Barangay Cagamutan Sur sustained a stab wound on the stomach and a laceration on the neck, respectively.
They were immediately transported to the nearest medical facility for treatment.
Captain John Robles, officer-in-charge of Leganes Municipal Police Station, said the victims had an altercation with a group of suspects who appeared to be heavily intoxicated.
After a hot pursuit operation, one of the suspects, identified as Mark Bata-anon, was apprehended.
However, three other suspects remain at large.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the attack./PN
