ILOILO City – Police arrested two regional most wanted persons (MWP) in separate operations in Antique province
The 50-year-old alias “Ben”, tagged as Western Visayas’ No. 6 most wanted for rape, was collared around 3:20 p.m. on Monday, October 7, in Barangay Bayo, Anini-y town.
The operation was carried out by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Antique Field Unit, Anini-y Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Antique Maritime Police Station through the strength of an arrest warrant.
At around 5:40 p.m., the region’s No. 5 most wanted was also apprehended in Barangay Pis-anan, Sibalom town by joint operatives of the Pandan MPS, 1st Antique Provincial Mobile Force Company, Antique Police Provincial Office’s Intelligence Unit, and Antique Maritime Police Station.
Alias “Andro”, 48, and a resident of the town’s Barangay Tordisillas, is facing charges for two counts of rape and two counts of lascivious conduct.
Both suspects are now under police custody pending turnover to the concerned courts of origin.
No bail bond was recommended for Ben’s temporary liberty.
For Andro, the court recommended no bail bond for rape charges and P200,000 for each count of lascivious conduct for his temporary liberty./PN
