ILOILO City – Operatives of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) arrested two of the city’s most wanted persons in separate manhunt operations.
In less than an hour on Tuesday, July 14, the back-to-back operations resulted in the apprehension of the city’s Top 5 and Top 6 most wanted fugitives.
The first arrest was carried out at around 11:46 a.m. by the Iloilo City Police Station 2 (ICPS2) through the strength of an arrest warrant against the No. 6 most wanted suspect, identified as alias “Jose.”
The 26-year-old suspect, a resident of Barangay Nabitasan, La Paz district, was served the warrant at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Regional Office 6–Iloilo District Jail in Barangay Nanga, Pototan, Iloilo, where he was already detained on prior charges.
The warrant was issued on July 14, 2026 by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 33 in Iloilo City for violation of Republic Act (RA) 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act). The court recommended a bail of P120,000 for his temporary release.
Shortly after, at around 12:10 p.m., officers from the Iloilo City Police Station 8 (ICPS8) captured alias “Roderick,” the No. 5 most wanted person.
The 28-year-old resident of Barangay Tabuc Suba, Jaro district, was apprehended by police operatives in Barangay Bo. Obrero, Lapuz by virtue of a warrant for violating RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). The warrant was issued on July 9, 2026 by RTC Branch 28 in Iloilo City, with no bail recommended.
Police Brigadier General Randulf T. Tuaño, acting director of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6), lauded the operating units for their precision and coordination during the successful operations. He emphasized that the successive arrests are a testament to the police force’s focus on intelligence and accountability.
“No individual facing criminal charges should believe they can evade justice indefinitely,” Tuaño said. “These successive arrests demonstrate the determination of our personnel to relentlessly pursue wanted persons through intelligence-led operations and strong coordination with our partner agencies.”
