ILOILO City – Two street-level drug suspects were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation on Valeria St., Barangay Kauswagan here.
Authorities identified the two as aliases “Bryan,” 40, a resident of Barangay Baldoza, La Paz district, and “Don-don,” 37, of Rizal Street, Lapuz district.
Joint operatives of the Iloilo City Police Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit and Police Station 1 seized approximately 45 grams of suspected shabu valued at around P306,000 on Thursday, August 29.
The suspects are now under police custody and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Brigadier General Jack Wanky, director of the Police Regional Office 6, lauded the operatives for the collective effort against illegal drugs.
He further urged the public to continue helping the police by providing information on who are engaging and involved in illegal drug trade in their respective communities./PN
