ROXAS City – The city government announced it would give incentives to barangays that have at least 90 percent of their population vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
It, however, did not say what the incentives would be.
Incentivizing the COVID-19 vaccination aims to hasten this city achieve herd immunity.
Data from the city government showed five barangays with the highest vaccination rate. These were the following:
* Barangay IV – 293.81 percent
* Barangay III – 154.93 percent
* Barangay Inzo – 96.54 percent
* Barangay I – 83.85 percent
* Barangay II – 82.11 percent
Roxas City has 47 barangays.
“Ako nagapasalamat sa tanan nga frontliners, command center staff kag volunteers…Mas padasigon pa gid naton ang kampanya agud maabot ang herd immunity subong nga Disyembre,” said Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.
The city government already vaccinated 64,152 persons or 51.72 percent of its target population which is 124, 666.
Roxas City has a population of 177,198./P
