VP Leni: Nothing to fear over sedition case

MANILA – Vice President Leni Robredo was confident the sedition cases filed against her in relation to her alleged involvement in the release of video series linking President Rodrigo Duterte his family and friends from illegal drugs will be dismissed.

Robredo’s spokesman Atty. Ibarra Gutierrez said the complaint against the vice president was nothing more than “harassment” and she was looking forward to clearing herself of any wrongdoing.

Gutierrez said the claims of Joemel Advincula that Robredo and other oppositionists connived to create the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos were “figments of the imagination.”

“In-address na before iyan ni VP. Walang katotohanan iyan. Pawang imbento iyan. Kuwentong kutsero, tsismis.

The PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group filed the complaint before the Department of Justice on Thursday in connection with videos annotated by a certain “Bikoy,” who linked members of the Duterte family to illegal drugs.

Aside from Robredo, named as respondents were Sen. Risa Hontiveros and Leila de Lima, former senators Bam Aquino and Antonio Trillanes IV, and other members of the “Otso Diretso” senatorial slate except Mar Roxas./PN
