Alexander Eleuterio Sonio was taken to the nearby Lopez District Farmers’ Hospital, Inc. where he was pronounced “dead on arrival.”

The incident happened at around 3:30 p.m. on July 25.

Working on a truck at the time, the 47-year-old resident of Sarromar Subdivision in the same barangay accidentally touched a live wire, police investigation showed.

FARMER HANGS SELF

A 48-year-old farmer was found dead in Barangay Inolingan, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental.

Resident Jacinto Perolino Sibay committed suicide by hanging, police said.

His wife Gina Jacinto, 46, found the body at around 2 p.m. on July 24.

But Jacinto reported to the police only the following day, said the officers.

Jacinto found the body hanging from a gmelina tree with a rope tied around the neck, police said.

The remains were taken to the Nalagon Funeral Home in Moises Padilla.
