Which LGUs have the most vaccinees?

ILOILO – Pototan town had the most number of recipients of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines among local government units (LGUs) in this province.

Data (as of Oct. 15) from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) showed 27,387 residents of Pototan have been inoculated with either first or second dose of a COVID vaccine, followed by Passi City (26,729), Santa Barbara (26,265), Lambunao (23,963), Miag-ao (22,848), Cabatuan (22,250), Dumangas (19,742), Janiuay (19,360), Concepcion (19,258), and Tigbauan (19,209).

Meanwhile, these towns have the highest vaccination (first dose) accomplishment, based on their 70 percent target population: Guimbal, Bingawan, Santa Barbara, Mina, Dueñas, Concepcion, Anilao, Cabatuan, Batad, and Zarraga.

In terms of full vaccinated residents, Bingawan had the highest accomplishment, followed by Dueñas, Guimbal, Concepcion, Anilao, Mina, Batad, Cabatuan, Pototan, and Balasan.

As of Oct. 15, a total of 317,148 individuals or 22 percent of the province’s target population were completely vaccinated: healthcare workers – 48,379, senior citizens – 55,536, persons with comorbidities – 69,147, uniformed personnel – 48,721, indigent – 5,462, and other priority groups – 79.

The vaccines used by the PHO were:  

* AstraZeneca – 41,400 doses

* Sinovac – 140,511 doses

* Pfizer – 5,529 doses

* Moderna – 39,884 doses

* Janssen – 89,824 doses

The province has to vaccinate 1,448,757 residents to achieve herd immunity.
