ILOILO – A woman’s dead body was found in an advanced state of decomposition on Sunday night, April 7, in a secluded grassland in Barangay Tambong, Miag-ao.

Police Captain Francis Donne Lomahan, Miag-ao police station officer-in-charge, identified the victim as Marivic Felicisimo.

The 52-year-old has two children and was a resident of the area.

Felicisimo was last seen alive at approximately 3 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, in the neighboring Barangay Diday when she left from a relative’s house after attending a fiesta.

Lomahan said Felicisimo was found without undergarments and with her upper body exposed around 6 p.m. on Sunday.

A green brief and red unisex shoes were also found near the body.

Four men last seen with the victim were invited to the Miag-ao police station.

Ang apat nga na-identify nga upod nya sa fiestahan gin-kuhaan na naton sang statement,” said Lomahan in a Panay News interview.

He added: “Sa copy sang aton CCTV (closed circuit television camera), may nakita kita nga isa ka persona kung sa diin gasundanay sila sang biktima,”

Lomahan also noted that CCTV footage further showed that the victim had already passed by her house and that a man was guiding Felicisimo in a certain direction with a flashlight.

The Miag-ao police were also conducting a hot pursuit against one of the men Felicisimo was last seen with. The said person reportedly worked at a construction site in Oton town.

Sa subong sige pa gihapon ang aton nga follow-up,” the police captain said.

The victim’s remains were sent for an autopsy examination to determine the cause of death and if she was sexually abused./PN
