BACOLOD City – A woman was hacked to death by her neighbor in Barangay Andres Bonifacio, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
The 61-year-old Nenita Aguisando sustained hack wounds on the body, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspect as Joel Corros.
According to police investigators, Corros, who was under the influence of liquor, had a heated argument with Aguisando.
It was not immediately established what triggered the altercation, which prompted Corros to hack Aguisando using a cane knife around 12 p.m. on May 20. Aguisando was rushed to the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic where the attending physician declared her “dead on arrival.”
Officers of the Cadiz City police station conducted a manhunt operation against the suspect, who fled after the incident./PN
