NEGROS Occidental – Operatives of the 605th Maneuver Company of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 collared Western Visayas’ No. 4 most wanted person on Thursday, November 14, in Barangay San Isidro, EB Magalona town.
Alias “Bert”, a resident of the town’s Barangay Canlusong, was arrested around 12:57 p.m. through the strength of an arrest warrant for the crimes of frustrated murder and two counts of attempted murder.
The operation was also supported by the EB Magalona Municipal Police Station, Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office’s Intelligence Unit and 1st Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company.
The suspect is now under the police custody pending turnover to court concerned.
The court recommended a P200,000 bail bond for frustrated murder and P480,000 for attempted murder for his temporary liberty.
Brigadier General Jack Wanky, director of Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6), lauded the dedication and patience of the tracker teams in pursuing Bert and other wanted persons in the region.
“This successful arrest emphasized our commitment to delivering justice to crime victims. Rest assured that PRO-6 will continuously look for the remaining wanted persons in the region,” he added./PN
