BACOLOD City – Olivia Yanson, the matriarch of the giant bus firm Vallacar Transit, Inc. has fallen ill from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19.)

Roy, Ricardo Jr., Emily, and Celina Yanson-Lopez  – tagged as the “Yanson 4 – were able to confirm over the weekend that their mother was rushed to a hospital in Bacolod City and was later airlifted to Manila as she was having difficulty in breathing.

The Yanson 4 said it was later posted on social media that she was being treated at a private hospital, and they have no direct communication with their mother.

They only knew about her medical emergency through the postings “no different from everyone else,” the group added.

Although the Yanson 4 are currently locked in a legal battle with their mother over business matters, they stated that the news deeply saddened them and they had individually sent their personal messages to their mom, hoping it would reach her.

The Yanson 4 also stated that they wanted to be by their mother’s side even if they want to, but are unable to do so due to the existing travel restrictions.

They have also stated that they will cast their disagreements aside as their main concern is their mother’s current state of health.

They added they are praying that she is able to get past their health issue, and recover from the illness quickly./PN
