BACOLOD City — The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) recorded zero crime incidents across all official festival sites during the three-day celebration of the Bacolaodiat Festival 2026 held from February 20 to 22 in this city.
The incident-free record underscored the effectiveness of intensified security operations implemented in key event areas, which drew thousands of festival-goers.
Under the leadership of Police Colonel Eugene Rebadomia, officer-in-charge, the BCPO rolled out comprehensive security measures, including the strategic deployment of personnel in major convergence points, the establishment of police assistance desks, and continuous foot and mobile patrols throughout the festivities.
Area security teams were tasked with closely monitoring entrances, exits, and activity zones to prevent any untoward incidents. Their presence ensured that all official events and performances proceeded in a peaceful and orderly manner.
Rebadomia commended the dedication and professionalism of BCPO personnel, as well as the strong cooperation of partner agencies, force multipliers, festival organizers, and the public.
The police official said the collective effort and heightened visibility of law enforcement officers played a key role in maintaining safety and crowd control during one of the city’s major cultural celebrations.
