ILOILO City – Fire struck a house in Barangay Ungka, Jaro district. No one was hurt or got killed but a family renting the house was displaced.

The fire broke out around 3 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bureau of Fire Protection identified the owner as a certain Gallo who is currently in Canada.

Quick-responding Bureau of Fire Protection firefighters successfully prevented the fire from spreading to other houses.

The fire started at the second floor of the house, initial investigation showed.

The fire bureau, however, won’t make premature conclusions until it had completed its investigation./PN
