BACOLOD City – A 10-year-old girl was found dead at a reclamation area in Barangay Tinampa-an, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Police said the girl had been strangled. As of press time, they have yet to identify the suspect.
The local police’s Women and Children Protection Desk was handling the case, said Superintendent Edel Jose Manzano, city police chief.
Initial police investigation showed the suspect attacked the girl who went to the reclamation area around 8 a.m. on Sunday.
Her lifeless body was found around 1:45 p.m.
At the time, her parents were working in the city proper, and she and her siblings were the only ones left in their house, police said./PN
