BACOLOD City – A substance he uses in his job killed him.
Atila Bergantos Jr. of Barangay Dancalan, Ilog, Negros Occidental killed himself by drinking Cenoro, a liquid acid used to clean jewelry, police said.
The 33-year-old jewelry cleaner, who was having a conversation with his mother, Sisi, on Sunday evening, fell on the floor and lost consciousness.
Rescuers from the local government of Ilog brought him to the Lorenzo D. Zayco Memorial District Hospital in Kabankalan City, but the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”/PN
