BACOLOD City – Two suspected drug pushers were arrested in separate sting operations in Dumaguete City, Negros Occidental.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) personnel caught Lundy May Cabatingan of Barangay North Poblacion, Valencia, Negros Oriental after selling shabu to a poseur buyer for P1,000 at around 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 20.
Cabatingan was arrested along Colon Extension, a PDEA spot report showed.
Recovered from Cabatingan was one sachet of shabu and drug paraphernalia.
The other suspect – Pelric Calugcugan of Barangay East Balabag, Valencia, Negros Oriental – was caught along Dr. Meciano Road around 3:30 p.m. on the same day.
Calugcugan handed over shabu to an undercover agent in exchange of P2,500.
Confiscated from Calugcugan were 13 sachets of shabu valued at P39,000, PDEA personnel said.
Cabatingan and Calugcugan were detained and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
