BACOLOD City – A lawyer’s house was robbed on Wednesday. Several items were taken away.

Atty. Caesar Distrito, 41, a resident of Grandville 3, Barangay Mansilingan in this city, reported to the police that a man entered his house around 12:50 p.m.

Distrito said the suspect took away a vault containing P261,000  cash amount; one camera worth P15,000; land titles; US Visa; and undetermined amount of foreign bills.

The Bacolod City Police Office identified the suspect as Orlando Orario, 28, a resident of Siocon Road, Barangay 26 in this city.

During the investigation, the police found a blood stain at the crime scene.

Elements of Police Station 7 immediately conducted a follow-up operation at the different hospitals in the city for the possible arrest of the suspect.

Around 3:50 p.m. of the same day, Police Officer 1 Gilbert Sadie arrested Orario at the emergency room of Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.

The vault containing the stolen items was recovered from a taxi which Orario hired./PN
