BACOLOD City – For illegal possession of firearm, a man was arrested in a bar in Barangay Zone 12-A, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

The 24-year-old Michael Servando of Barangay Zone 2, Talisay City was detained and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

Servando was caught around 10:45 p.m. on Thursday inside VTN Resto Bar in Carmela Valley Hines Subdivision, a police report showed.

Recovered from Servando’s possession was a .22-caliber magnum revolver loaded with two live bullets, said Superintedent Adonis Rosales, chief of the Talisay City police.

Servando failed to present the gun’s license, Rosales added.

Servando’s arrest was part of Oplan Katok/Sita of the police./PN
