ILOILO – The 12 provincial government-run hospitals here are ready for medical emergencies this No. 1 and 2.
“We are ready, holiday or no holiday,” stressed Dr. Francisco Ronel Quiñon, officer-in-charge of the provincial government’s Hospital Management Office (HMO).
The hospitals were put on alert yesterday. Quiñon said all hospital personnel are “on call” and days-off could even be cancelled if necessary such as if there is a “mass casualty incident.”
The 12 provincial government-run hospitals are the following:
* Aleosan District Hospital in Alimodian
* Barotac Viejo District Hospital in Barotac Viejo
* Dr. Ricardo S. Provido Memorial District Hospital in Calinog
* Don Valerio Palmares Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Passi City
* Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial District Hospital in Lambunao
* Ramon D. Duremdes District Hospital in Dumangas
* Federico Roman Tirador Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Janiuay
* Iloilo Provincial Hospital in Pototan
* Jesus M. Colmenares Memorial District Hospital in Balasan
* Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital in Cabatuan
* Rep. Pedro G. Trono Memorial District Hospital in Guimbal
* Sara District Hospital in Sara
Quiñon has health tips to people visiting cemeteries – visit early to avoid the scorching heat of the sun and overcrowding; bring heat/rain protective gear such as umbrellas or hats; bring bottled water for hydration and food to satisfy hunger.
Quiñon also said people could seek help from medical teams stationed in cemeteries./PN
