ILOILO City – Two men were charged with illegally selling petroleum products in Barangay Poblacion, Concepcion, Iloilo.

Yesterday around 10 a.m., the police served arrest warrants to Ronnie Aposaga, 52, and Jonelbeth Sultan, 47, in their respective houses.

The two were accused of violating Section 2a (illegal trading in petroleum and/or petroleum products) of Presidential Decree 1865 before the sala of Judge Eugene Cabardo of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court.

From their houses, Aposaga and Sultan were taken to the Concepcion police station.

It was unclear as of this writing if they were able to secure their temporary liberty by posting bail.

 

The court set their bail bond at P10,000 each./PN
