BACOLOD City – Two adults drowned in separate incidents in Cadiz City and Murcia town in Negros Occidental, police said.
April Licaros went swimming after drinking with friends at the Kabilang-bilangan Reef in Barangay Daga, Cadiz City on Easter Sunday.
He was taken to the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic but an attending physician declared him “dead on arrival,” said Chief Inspector Rocky Desear, city police head.
The 33-year-old cook was a native of San Carlos City and temporarily residing on Juan Luna Street, Barangay Zone 4, Cadiz City.
On Good Friday, the 23-year-old Edwin Ramos, a resident of Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City, drowned in Murcia.
Ramos was washing his hands at a river in Purok Pag-asa, Barangay Lopez Jaena, Murcia after eating lunch when he slipped and fell. The river current swept him./PN
