ILOILO – Two men were injured in a stabbing incident in Dingle town.
Alias “Mark” and alias “Jade” both sustained stab wounds on their hands.
They were brought to the town’s hospital but were discharged after given proper treatment.
Police Captain Aileen Lacrite, chief of the Dingle Municipal Police Station, said the victims and the suspect identified as “John” were having a drinking binge on Sunday night.
Lacrite added that a misunderstanding ensued among them that led to the suspect stabbing the victims at around 9 p.m.
Dingle police arrested the suspect after the incident.
Yesterday morning, police said the suspect was released from jail after the victims executed an affidavit of non-interest to file a case against the former./PN
