AKLAN – A heated altercation between a father and a construction worker in Barangay Agbalogo, Makato town led to injuries for both parties.
The April 21, 1 p.m. confrontation reportedly stemmed from a threat to the father’s three-year-old child.
The father, 46-year-old security guard Roberto Aguarino, was said to have confronted 31-year-old construction worker Jomer Lachica over the alleged threat at the latter’s house.
According to the local police, after an initial argument, the two were separated but tensions quickly escalated.
Aguarino returned shortly after wielding a bolo, striking Lachica on the shoulder.
In the ensuing scuffle, Lachica managed to disarm Aguarino and retaliate, wounding him on the back.
Emergency services were called, and Aguarino was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, while Lachica was taken into custody by the Makato police./PN
