ILOILO City – Police arrested two men transporting lumber without permit in Barangay Poblacion, Anilao, Iloilo.
Richard Pañol, 50, and Liovel Balbino, 18, were both residents of Barangay Mangenese, Anilao.
Police caught them driving a truck loaded with undocumented lumber at a checkpoint around 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 16, police said.
Pañol and Balbino were taken to the municipal police station, facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 705, or the Forestry Reform Code of the Philippines./PN
