ILOILO City – Two rape suspects in Iloilo province have been arrested and detained.
One of them, Reymund Palero of Barangay Bita, Dueñas town, was arrested in Barangay Sablogon in the component city of Passi.
The 39-year-old has been charged with three counts of “rape by carnal knowledge,” a police report showed.
Officers served him a warrant of arrest at around 5 p.m. on Saturday.
The court has not set a bail bond for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
Palero was detained in the Dueñas police station custodial facility.
Charged with two counts of the same offense was the 38-year-old Roque Roncal Jr. of Barangay Camambugan, Santa Barbara.
Police caught him at around 4:10 p.m. on the same day in Barangay Poblacion West, Oton.
Roncal was the No. 15 most wanted person in the province, police said.
He was hauled to the Oton police station custodial facility.
Just like Palero, Roncal was not allowed by the court to post bail./PN
