BACOLOD City — Two young men were injured while a 16-year-old boy escaped unharmed after they were allegedly attacked and stabbed by several unidentified individuals in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, early Monday morning.
The incident occurred at around 1:15 a.m. on August 31 at Bangga Bat-os, Barangay Zone 9, according to the Talisay City Police Station.
Police identified the injured victims as alias “Gringo,” 24, and alias “Jonas,” 18, both single and residents of Talisay City. A 16-year-old male minor who was with them during the incident was not injured.
Initial police investigation showed that the three were traveling aboard a Mio Gravis 125 motorcycle and were heading to Barangay Zone 14, Talisay City, to watch a dress rehearsal.
While passing through Bangga Bat-os, they were allegedly confronted and harassed by several unidentified individuals who later assaulted them, police said.
Gringo sustained a stab wound to his back, while Jonas suffered an injury to his right hand.
The assailants also allegedly struck their motorcycle before fleeing the area.
The victims were brought to the Talisay City Health Office for medical attention. Gringo was later referred to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City for further treatment.
Jonas, whose injury was treated at the health facility, was advised to go home. The minor was unharmed.
