BACOLOD City – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has awarded land titles and installed 240 farmer-beneficiaries in two municipalities in northern Negros this month.

The distribution of certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs) and the installation of the agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) were facilitated by DAR-Negros Occidental I (North).

In EB Magalona town, 26 farmers were given CLOAs and subsequently installed in two properties in Barangay Nanca during rites led by Municipal Agrarian Reform Officer Tessie Pedrosa on Nov. 18.

Of the 26 farmers, 15 occupied almost 4.85 hectares of land formerly owned by Reeda Bantug; and 11 occupied 3.84 hectares of land previously owned by Michael Lawrence Bantug.
