BACOLOD City – The city government ordered the closure of a restaurant on 17th Lacson Street.
According to the City Legal Office (CLO), there were complaints that Akasya Grill was serving alcoholic beverages to minors and that youngsters smoking thereat were also tolerated.
The City Permits and Licensing Division carried out an investigation on the complaints.
Dispensing alcoholic beverages to minors is prohibited in this city.
An ordinance also prohibits smoking in public places and conveyances.
The city government also learned that the Bacolod City Police Office – Women and Children Protection Desk had rescued several minors from the restaurant’s premises during a saturation drive in September.
