250 families in San Remigio receive gifts from APPO

ANTIQUE – Around 250 families and 100 children from Barangay Magdalena, San Remigio town received early Christmas gifts from the Antique Police Provincial Office (APPO).

On Thursday, Dec. 1, the APPO, headed by provincial director, Police Colonel Alexander G. Mariano, went to Barangay Magdalena to conduct a community outreach program together with the Philippine National Police (PNP)-National Support Unit and the Philippine Coast Guard.

The recipients were given food packs containing rice and canned goods, while loot bags filled with snacks and candies were given to around 100 children.

According to the APPO, the community outreach was part of the PNP’s peace and order campaign in barangays and bring their services closer to the communities.

It is also a way for the APPO to express their concern for those in need, especially that the holidays are drawing near.

The community outreach program was also supported by the San Remigio Municipal Police Station, the San Remigio local government and barangay officials./PN
