Twenty-six members of the New People’s Army (NPA) in Iloilo returned to government fold.
Philippine Army (PA) 3rd Infantry Division Spokesperson Major Cenon Pancito said this was due to the government’s community support program in rebel-infiltrated barangays in Panay.
Thirteen of them came from Janiuay, seven from Lambunao, and six from Calinog.
The returnees were presented to the chief executives of their respective towns on Saturday, April 17.
They will reintegrate into society with support from the Local Government Unit (LGU)./PN
