ILOILO – Three persons sustained minor injuries following a collision between a motorcycle and a tricycle along the national highway in Barangay Aguirre, Sara, Iloilo past 10 a.m. yesterday, November 8.
According to the Sara Municipal Police Station, the victims included the driver of a Kawasaki Bajaj motorcycle, alias “Darwin,” 20, and his passenger, alias “Antonio,” 70, both residents of the town’s Barangay Muyco.
Also injured was the driver of the tricycle, identified as alias “Elmer,” 36, a resident of Barangay Malapaya, Sara.
In a K5 News FM Sara report, the motorcycle driven by Darwin was traveling toward Barangay Muyco when the front tire of the oncoming tricycle suddenly blew out.
The blowout caused Elmer to lose control of the tricycle, leading to the head-on crash that injured them.
All three individuals were immediately brought to the Sara District Hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities added that both parties have opted for an amicable settlement and decided not to press charges against each other./PN
