ROXAS City – Thirty-five families on Chico Street, Barangay Tiza here affected by a surgical lockdown received food packs and vitamins from the city government.
The two-week lockdown of the area started April 24 and will last until May 8.
The barangay has a total of 10 active cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The distribution of relief goods straight to the respective doorsteps of the families was undertaken by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) with the help of the barangay officials of Barangay Tiza.
Mayor Ronnie Dadivas lauded the efforts of stakeholders such as the police, Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) and Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) in the implementation of the lockdown and for assisting the affected residents.
Aside from distributing relief goods, the CDRRMO is also disinfecting the area./PN
