ILOILO City – For alleged illegal cockfighting, four residents of Barangay Tarong, Carles, Iloilo were arrested.
Gerald Balajadia, Ernesto Zarceno, Geovane Basea, and Even Pancho were caught around 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 1, a police report showed.
Recovered from their possession were P650 bet money and four game fowls.
Detained in the lockup cell of the Carles police station, the suspects face charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974./PN
