BARRING any problems with the venue, four Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference teams are set to play in exhibition matches in Iloilo and Bacolod cities this November.

Bali Pure Water Defenders, Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors, Perlas-BanKo Lady Spikers, and Creamline Cool Smashers will suit up for the two-day event as part of PVL’s promotional tour.

“It will not be a pocket tournament but a pair of double-header exhibition matches,” Ilonggo sportsman Ruding Villaruz told Panay News.

“The four teams have agreed to play here. Our problem is the venue,” Villaruz said. “We tentatively scheduled the Bacolod match on Nov. 3 and Iloilo game on Nov. 5.”

Water Defenders is expected to bring Gretchel Soltones, Jerrilli Malabanan, Jorelle Singh, Risa Sato, Aiko Urdas, Angelica Cayuna, Lizlee Ann-Gata Pantone, and Macy Mendiola.

Lady Warriors, on the other hand, has Myla Pablo, Elaine Kasilag, Jeanette Panaga, Maricar Nepomuceno, Gyzelle Sy, Jessey De Leon, Janet Serafica, Melissa Gohing, Desiree Dadang, and Bacolod native Fille Cainglet-Cayetano.

Rosemarie Vargas, Rizza Mandapat, Alexine Cabanos, Pau Soriano, Julia Morado, Angela Nunag, Ivy Remulla, and Aerieal Patnongon are expected to play for Cool Smashers. Alyssa Valdez will be out after agreeing to play as import in Chinese-Taipei.

Seen to banner Lady Spikers are Ryssabel Devanadera, Suzanne Roces, Katherine Bersola, Nicole Tiamzon, Jorella de Jesus, Amanda Villanueva, Mae Tajima, Jamenea Ferrer, Amy Ahomiro, and Bacolod native Gizelle Tan.

Last month, Lady Spikers and Ateneo de Manila University Lady Eagles also played in exhibition matches in Iloilo and Bacolod cities./PN
