MANILA – Philippine Superliga will have its rare Visayas games as a double-header for the Grand Prix conference will be played on Nov. 4 at the University of St. La Salle (USLS) in Bacolod City.
Invitational Cup champion Cignal HD Spikers and Cocolife Asset Managers will face off in the first game while All-Filipino Conference titlist Petron Blaze Spikers and F2 Logistics Cargo Movers will battle in the second game.
“Bacolod is the home of future PSL (Philippine Superliga) players,” said Superliga president Ramon Suzara. “So we might as well go here and inspire young athletes.”
“Aside from the games, we are thinking of other off-court activities for Bacolodnon fans to enjoy,” Suzara added.
The Superliga games will be held two weeks after the MassKara Festival.
Composing HD Spikers are Guimaras native Jovelyn Gonzaga, Rachel Anne Daquis, Honey Royce Tubino, Maica Morada, Stephanie Mercado, and imports Beth Carey, Alexis Matthews and Mami Miyashita.
In the Asset Managers lineup are Michelle Gumabao, Denisse Lazaro, Rose Marie Vargas, Carla Sandoval, Wensh Tiu, Christine Francisco, Ilongga Shannen Palec, and imports Taylor Milton and Tai Manu-Olevao.
Blaze Spikers comprises Ilongga Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, USLS alumna April Hingpit, Mika Reyes, Shiela Pineda, Frances Molina, Rhea Dimaculangan, Cherry Rondina, and imports Lindsay Stalzer, Yuki Furuda and Hillary Hurley.
Cargo Movers has Ilonggas Aby Maraño and Aduke Ogunsaya, USLS alumna Fritz Gallenero, Cha Cruz, Ara Galang, Dawn Macandili, Kim Fajardo, Mary Joy Baron, and imports Kennedy Bryan and Maria Jose Perez./PN
