BACOLOD City – Two new senior high school buildings with 40 classrooms were unveiled at the Bacolod City National High School (BCNHS) on Thursday.
They were among the four national government-funded school buildings at the BCNHS with a total project cost of P131 million.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Rep. Greg Gasataya and some city councilors led the unveiling.
According to Leonardia, the school building project was conceptualized and its funding was approved when he was congressman from 2013 to 2016.
Gasataya followed up its completion, said the mayor.
The two older buildings, which also have 40 classrooms, were already being used by senior high school students.
In June six school buildings with 96 classrooms were also unveiled at the Domingo Lacson National High School (DLNHS) and the Sum-ag National High School (SNHS).
At the DLNHS were two three-story buildings with 15 classrooms each, and one four-story building with 20 classrooms. All 50 classrooms had a total cost of P97 million.
On the other hand, at the SNHS were two four-story buildings and one two-story building. The 46 classrooms were worth P66 million. (PNA)
